QUARTERMASTER REPORT

The year is coming to a close.  As we Celebrate Christmas and New Year’s, we must remember those who have given the ultimate for our freedom to do so.

As we celebrate here at the Post, remember, “drink responsibly” or better yet bring a designated driver.

Just a reminder.  If you haven’t paid your dues, they are due now and will be past due on Jan. 1st and you will no longer have membership privileges.  This includes Canteen privileges.  Now would be a good time to consider a life membership.

I would like to wish each and every one of you a very happy and prosperous New Year.

Louis Valverde

                MEN’S AUXILIARY—Bob Ortega, President

Now that we have completed another successful year as the, Men's Auxiliary, I am sure we all know that we have a long road to go before we can say we have completed our goals as the great veterans of this country can say.
With what is in the plans for this years festivities we need to hang in there and continue to work as a family, and with that being said this means that we ask all you members who have not been attending the meetings on a regular basis to please try one step harder this year to get there. It makes it hard on the same members who in the past have assisted in our functions to have to carry the weight of those who do not even attempt to help but yet utilize the canteen privileges.   The Men's Auxiliary, hope that you all have had a great Christmas and a happy New Years and on a personal note, again I can not thank you enough, Post and Ladies Auxiliary, members for your support in making us who we are today.
In closing, we are ready for the incoming year and as they say, " Lets get er done

               POW/MIA—Chairman Jimmy Orona

Well, as this year approaches the end, all I can say is, WOW! How fast it went by.

As I look back on the year and all the VFW events that took place, Asparagus Festival, Post picnic, POW/MIA Ceremony, Memorial Day, Veteran’s Day and the fund raisers, with the support of all members and both Auxiliaries and all their families and guests, the POW/MIA committee had a great year.  Thank You to all.

As Chairman of the POW/MIA committee for Luneta Post 52, I can honestly say, at times it was overwhelming.  I was ready to throw in the towel.  What helped me to continue was that every time I needed help and I asked fellow members for help and support, no one turned me down.  Also my faithful companion, my girlfriend Gerry Moreno, was always by my side and helped me endure and stay with it.

Once again, I would like to thank everybody who helped and supported me throughout the year.

I’m committed in serving all Veterans.  Having the inventory I would like to purchase helps fulfill that

commitment.  I look forward to serving as your POW/MIA Chairman in the coming year.

Thank You
