Jr. VICE COMMANDER REPORT

As most of you already know, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Golf Tournament was canceled. The Post picnic was a big success thanks to all the Post and Aux. Members who worked so hard to make it so. We also appreciate all who donated prizes for the raffle. All businesses that contributed were presented with a letter and a certificate of appreciation.

Jr. Vice Commander

We at post 52 are reinstating an old program known well by our oldest veterans, the plain old, but tried and true pledge program. Anyone, and I hope all members will participate at some point in the next 12-20 months, will, as will I, pledge a certain amount towards a poppy donation in a members name or in the form of a memorial for a member. All pledges will be collected at the canteen, so good luck to all members in the buddy poppy spirit

MEN’S AUXILIARY

Happy Halloween to all of you. Well this is no trick but it sure is a nice treat for all of us. OUR CHARTER HAS ARRIVED AT LAST, Yes it has and now we have to go to work and elect our officers. Our first official meeting is set for Nov. 21, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. and we will have our first round of elections and looking for ideas for functions that we can do to help support the Post and Ladies Aux. keep in mind the holidays are approaching fast. I am asking that we all make this meeting. It is very important and remember that one should never complain about something they did not want to be part of, as the old saying goes. All charter members should have their membership cards by the time of the meeting. At this time we will be verifying and issuing your entry cards so that we can record the information for the records. Also for those of you who wish to order your headgear we will be placing an order so we can save on the shipping cost. In closing, I again thank all of you for your continued support and I look foreword to seeing you at the Halloween party.
Best Regards,

Bob Ortega
