The point of adopting a POW/MIA is to personalize the issue. When we as veterans speak out on this subject, especially to our political leadership, we want to make it clear that we are not just relating to a group of American servicemen, but rather to a group of individuals who have stepped forward when the nation called and who have all met with a tragic fate. We owe it to them and their families to reaffirm the commitment which has been made by the last six American Presidents, of obtaining a full accounting for all our POW/MIA's. We as members of the V.F.W. must stay politically active as it relates to this cause. Please learn more about how you can make your voice heard in Operation Just Cause.

POW/MIA's REMEMBERED

What do you think they are being told as they struggle through each day? Since we haven't come to bring them home, do they believe the things "they " say?

How can you forget about them, and all they have had to go through? Don't you worry they may now believe that what they're being told is true?

What is it that keeps them going through the endless days and nights? Or, did they lose all hope long ago, and, give up without a fight?

If one day they make it home, will you look straight into their eyes? Will you have your answers ready, when they ask the question WHY?
